Classic Red
A toy wagon basically has the same structure as a traditional, larger wagon, but is significantly much smaller and is designed with an open top. A typical toy wagon is able to seat one child, and is generally propelled by human power through a handle located at the front. Some famous brands include the Radio Flyer wagon, Red Rider, Northern Tool and Equipment, Lowes, and Speedway Express. The average wagon costs around $100, but can reach up to $400.
Toy wagons have actually been around since the late 19th century, and are traditionally painted a bright red. These wagons were originally made out of wood. Antonio Pasin started making these wagons in 1923 and eventually started the Radio Flyer company. A lot of these Radio Flyer wagons were produced in his workshop in Chicago and soon became a national sensation after the 1933 Chicago World Fair. Radio Flyer wagons helped bring back people from their thoughts of the war to life’s simple pleasures.
