stuffed animals

Children need to feel secure especially when they are still very young. Some kids prefer to clutch security blankets to sleep while others prefer hugging stuffed animals. These items help dispel feelings of anxiety. Studies show that security blankets and comfort objects have positive benefits for children as they develop.
Aside from stuffed animals, children may also become attached to other things such as pets or other toys. In many cases, a comfort object becomes a transitional object which helps replace the mother and child bond when the mom has to go back to work. Security objects can further encourage a child to be more independent and self-confident.
