A lot of people are into skateboarding. But some prefer to use the longboard. The longboard is of course longer than the average skateboard and sometimes a little wider. The weight and bulk makes it less suitable for skateboarding tricks. It is more suitable for riding on concrete and doing big turns just like a surfboard.
Most longboards measure between 90 and 150 cm. There are shorter longboards but the main purpose is still for cruising. Protective gear is needed each time you ride your longboard. The usual helmet is needed and gloves as well. Wrist, elbow and knee protection are also needed to ensure a safe ride.
