Controlled Vehicles

May 23rd, 2011

You may have heard someone refer to a remote control car as an RC car. As a matter of fact, RC is used to describe other remote control toys as well as hobby items. These include RC cars and trucks, as well as airplanes, helicopters and even dirigibles. However, RC is also used to describe radio controlled vehicles, and there is a very big difference. The most striking difference is that remote control cars use wires between the remote and the vehicle, while radio controlled cars do not.

RC cars and trucks allows the user to control the car’s speed and movement through the use of a hand-held device just like a radio controlled car does. A remote controlled car may not offer the same maneuverability, but it also doesn’t require differentiation between frequencies. The best feature of a remote control car or truck is hand held control. Some advanced models may incorporate one or more joysticks as well as many control buttons.
