Toys for an Aspiring Cook

My four-year-old niece likes helping her mom prepare the family’s meals. She’d always volunteer to wash the vegetables, shell peas, and mix ingredients in bowls. She also follows instructions very well. We all think she would be a great cook someday.
Last Christmas, my husband and I surprised her with a huge play kitchen. The big sink and oven are accessible to my niece’s height so she can easily prepare her pretend foods there. Her eyes were wide with surprise and delight when she got to open the very big box on Christmas morning. It’s wonderful to see how happy she is with her new toys.
