discount Nintendo DS

February 27th, 2009

It was a good idea to do but left me quite hesitant to participate. At our fundraiser event, we members of the church’s organizing committee were asked to donate a personal item and let people bid on it. Some items will be bought for a small price, depending on its value, popularity (!), and usefulness.

For some reason my mother picked on my favorite game gadget and forced me to sell it as a discount Nintendo DS to the fundraising program. Of course I didn’t want to sell it; I use it all the time and I saved my own money to buy it. “Do it for charity, ” my mother says. But I don’t want to!

wooly bear

February 25th, 2009

I cannot imagine being a child and not owning at least a few stuffed toys. Fortunately, stuffed toys are the most often gifted presents to a child. When my daughter was a kid, she slept in a tiny portion of her bed because the major part was occupied by her Woogok, a boxer chimpanzee, Alfonso, her stuffed bear with a Vietnamese hat, and a host of other stuffed friends and playmates. She must have awakened some mornings with a stiff neck but she never complained for as long as her friends were beside her when they traveled to dreamland.

One of her favorites was a wooly bear that had been tested through crying sessions, bouts with the flu and stressful nights before a major test. The wooly bear was there to comfort her when there was nobody else on her side. Faded with age, wooly bear endured so many trips to the laundry shop for dry cleaning. Today, wooly bear is one of a few toys that she decided to keep. It is not in a box in the storage room. It lives in a basket on top of her closet.

buy toys online

What would mothers do if toys had not been invented? They will spend a great deal of time entertaining their children. You know how that can eat into a mother’s time. It means less time for preparing the family meals, keeping the house in order and doing things for herself. Lucky are we that toys have become so entertaining and educational that we feel safe to leave the kids to play with them while we do other tasks.

Why, we can even buy toys online. Browse the catalogs in the comfort of your home and take the time to choose the right toys for your kids. There will be no tugging your skirt or asking to go to the bathroom, they way things will go if you bring the kid to the toy store. There will be no time spent convincing the little one that the toy he has his eyes on is not a safe one or is made of poor quality materials. Make your pick and send in your order. It will come to you in a few days, nicely packed and ready to be opened by excited little hands.

lighted roller skate

February 24th, 2009

It was another dreaded theme party thought out by the gumbos at the office. For Halloween we were supposed to be dressed up in our best 70s disco attire. Great. I don’t even know disco, much less know what people wore during those years.

It was tough finding a costume that didn’t involve bell bottoms and afro wigs. I decided on wearing a short dress, a headband (although I suspect it was a more 60s thing), and a pair of lighted roller skate I bought on sale. And apparently my skates were a hit–I won the best female costume for the party. The lights on my skates must have dazzled the judges in spite of my ugly dress.

Counter strike in video games has just become more real in the game of airsoft battle. ICS airsoft guns are one of the most popular brands among airsoft products and accessories. It is one of the few companies that produce high end airsoft guns in the market today. ICS has the widest selection of gun models, rifles, pistols, scopes and other airsoft paraphernalia.
