Children have the capacity to learn as much as they can, and absorb tons of information because their brains act like sponges. It is crucial therefore to start working on our child’s growth and development at the soonest possible time.

There are many educational toys which we can buy for our children. This allows us to combine both learning and play at the same time. We can get children’s jigsaw puzzles for our kids to make use of their brains in order to figure these pieces out. Metaphorical Puzzle

Jigsaw puzzles are synonymous to our lives. As we inch our way out of troubles and moments of despair, or delight in the accomplishments in our lives, jigsaw puzzles also have its highs and lows. They are alike in many ways, and the ending is always what you make of it. Just like solving a jigsaw puzzle which may or may not be finished, it reflects the willingness of one’s spirit to fight on or give up.

Just like those Hautman Brothers puzzles, life is very much a challenge for anyone. For both life and puzzles we need to keep focused and open ourselves to the possibilities and capabilities we have as individuals. Having to succeed in life is just like the glory one gets in placing the last piece to complete the puzzle. The metaphorical puzzle is just like life, with patterns and part coming together to form a clearer picture.

A lot of children enjoy and learn from doing puzzles. There are different types of age-appropriate puzzles for children. Some of these educational puzzles require manipulation, while others rely on vision or thought for the solutions. Children’s puzzles that require manipulation include jigsaw puzzles. Jigsaw puzzles usually consist of a base and pieces of wood or some other material that fit into an indented area of the base. Jigsaw puzzles for young children commonly show scenes from nursery rhymes or stories.

Jigsaw Puzzles for older children may include scenes from popular movies, various places from around the world, historical events, and famous people. Another type of puzzle are sliding puzzles which are small plastic cases that holds pieces of a picture that has been divided into squares, often 8 pieces, with one empty space. Only one piece can be moved at a time, and the child tries to move the pieces into the proper position to show the picture as a whole.

My 4-year Old

My daughter in kindergarten is a social butterfly. She wants to attend all the birthday parties she is invited too. I’m happy because socially I know she is developing well. She easily interacts with children. She can also confidently speak to adults. She likes to converse with people while at the same time being interested in their own stories.

She loves to attend the parties because she is with children her age so she can play with gusto and her playmates understand her. Because of all the parties she goes to I stock up on birthday gifts like Disney jigsaw puzzles, motorized toys, small backpacks. My 4-year old likes wrapping the gifts with me. She chooses the wrapping that fits the recipient. She will say “Mommy, let’s wrap Ethan’s gift with this wrapper with balloon designs because he likes balloons!” She is smart and a joy to be with.

Whether it is a long vacation trip or a quick dash to the grocery with your toddler, preparing them beforehand will make the difference between an enjoyable or a stressful experience. First of all children should be prepared physically and mentally. They should be well rested and fed. They should also be done with their potty schedule. Talk to them about what fun things they can expect on the trip.

Keeping them entertained on long trips is the key. Very young babies always enjoy colorful and exciting mobiles. The older ones can spend their time composing puzzles for kids. Make sure that puzzles are made of soft material that will not hurt them in case of sudden stops or bumps. One that is made of fabric parts that stick to a quilted board using Velcro is ideal.

There is a debate about whether assembling a jigsaw puzzle is a skill, a sport or a craft. I guess it all depends on how the person looks at it. Some are challenged to finish assembling it under a specified time limit which makes it a skill. Others just relish slowly adding to the picture and enjoying how it grows and presents a bigger image. We can say that these people just use jigsaw puzzles for entertainment and as a hobby.

Definitely, jigsaw puzzles do entertain. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned puzzle solver the entertainment factor should never be removed from the picture. There are different kinds of puzzles that range from cardboard pieces that come in thousands of pieces. Wooden jigsaw puzzles are usually less in terms of numbers of pieces because wood is heavy. These are ideal for use in children education toys.
