At my age right now, turning 4 and still single, I have to admit that I have no clue whatsoever regarding the toys or things which kids these days happen to be hooked with. Compared to most of my friends who are now settled down and with their own families, I never really got acquainted with anything related to children. I was so engrossed with my career and my job that I never really figured what I had been missing.
My nephew will be celebrating his birthday and compared to the other years, I will be coming home to my parents since I would need to make a few arrangements regarding the estate. I needed to bring a little something for my nephew, but it was a difficult thing trying to figure out what I can get him. I had to ask for the latest action figure toys from my friends just so I can get myself updated. That is just A for effort.

As a pre-school teacher, I consider myself to be the second parent of all my students. I take full responsibility for their welfare and their need to grow and develop. This is the reason why teachers have such huge roles in society; we help to mold the future generations of this world to make a difference and to provide ways on how to do their part in making the world a better place.
One of the things which I wanted to improve on in the school where I teach is the pre school playground equipment. I believe that part of a child’s growth and skills development requires not only learning inside the classroom, but actual social interaction with other people his age in order to enhance his personality development. I believe that there are things you can never really learn inside the classroom and application is the better way to go.

One of the things which I often complain about to my husband is the fact that we have way too many stuff in the house which clutters the entire space. Since we have three kids, it can be a disaster whenever we would need to find the things we would need in the basement or in the garage. No matter how hard I try in organizing everything, it all ends up in chaos. This is why I decided to have a yard sale and get rid of the things we no longer needed.
Now that we have more space in the house, I feel more comfortable and relaxed. The other day though my husband came home with a Radio Flyer folding pink for my daughter, and got a bit mad for this new toy which would need to be stored once again inside the house. He assured me that this does not take up too much space since it is foldable. He now opts to look for things like this in order to save on space.

Kids would need to be supervised and supported by their parents with everything they do. It allows them to be more open to things and discover parts of themselves which they would never know they can do. A parents’ role is to encourage their kids and push them farther in order to grow, learn and be able to improve on their skills.
Developing the child’s imagination is a good thing, which is why pretend play is always highly encouraged by most people. The use of puppet show theatre allows children to engage not only in play but allows them to enhance their imagination, linguistics and social interaction. These are some of the skills parents would want to impart to their children. It would teach them to move farther in life and be able to achieve their dreams given the skills that they have developed over the years.

When it comes to my kids, I am very particular about the things they do and the activities they engage in. I would not want them to be like any other typical kid wherein they know nothing but video games, computers and gadgets. And while I have nothing against these things as they also have their own benefits, there are other options around which allows the kid to develop more.
I make use of educational toys as a way of teaching my kids valuable lessons and help them improve on their skills. This allows me to deal with their mental growth and development which is crucial at the stage that they are in now. With these toys, I would not have to worry about getting them ahead of the rest, especially when they have acquired the knowledge and skills they need.

When it comes to dress up, my kids are sure to get excited when they hear these two words. I am not at all surprised, since I myself is quite inclined in fashion. As a fashion merchandise manager of one of the malls in the area, I am tasked to be with tons of clothes, accessories and anything related to all things dressing up. My kids are simply acquiring my interests.
To make sure that they understand my line of work and what I do, I try to find ways on how to explain the same to them through exposure. I also give them toys like Abby & Emma magnetic dress up doll set for them to appreciate my line of work. When my child was about six years old, my father taught him how to play chess. I thought that this was just one of those times when a child would be curious as to what the adults are doing. I never really thought that he would one day take it seriously and eventually become one of the best for his age when it comes to chess.
Now in his teens, he has been competing nationwide against people who are much older than he is. I am proud to say that despite growing up and getting himself into many other things, he never really stopped playing chess. This time around though, he uses a skull chess set which totally reflects his teenage personality. I am looking forward to watching him play and represent the country next time.

When it comes to Star Trek, I have to say that I have only seen fascination of this particular show from my brother. I remember him being so hooked on Star Trek that there even came a time when he cried to my mother when he was not allowed to watch television. He also had parties then which had the same theme, much to his excitement.
Growing up never really stopped my brother from loving the show. Nowadays he collects Star Trek models which he so fondly displays in his entire apartment. One would event think he is in a museum showcasing the show itself with the number of models he has had with him for many years. He is simply enjoying his life and his freedom of being able to get the things he always wanted to have ever since.

My daughter’s birthday is coming up really soon, and like any other child, she also has her dream gift she wants to receive from her father and I. I have been eyeing this Kidkraft dollhouse for a few months now, so when she told me that this was the same thing she wanted, I instantly agreed to myself since it was right within our budget. I am sure she will have the surprise of her life when this gets delivered at home.
As our only child at this point in time, we want to make sure that our daughter does not grow up to be spoiled and bratty. It is for this reason why we opted to discipline her and show her that we do not necessarily get her what she asks from us. This way we would not have any problems in the future the next time she asks for something else much more expensive than the things she is getting at this point in time.

A colleague of mine had invited me to attend her three year old son’s birthday party this coming weekend. I knew that I had to come, since she is one of the few people who have actually been nice to me ever since I moved to the city. I am so glad that she wanted to take our friendship more than just from being colleagues and working together in the office.
I knew that I would need to get something for his son, so I started browsing on the internet. I remembered that I gave my nephew this city ramp racing set which my sister told me her son absolutely loved. I figured this was a no fail toy so went with it to save me the effort of having to browse. Hopefully the celebrant would enjoy what I have gotten for him on his birthday.
